ABOUT CVAC

We are the Central Valley Alliance Conference. We offer a full season of competitive tackle football games with accompanying instructional cheerleading for youth ages 6-12. Emphasis is on learning, playing, and enjoying the sport while instilling the moral standards that our community, parents and players can be proud of. By teaching the kids the importance of sportsmanship, we help them become leaders and better teammates. CVAC players will learn to both foster confidence and a sense of self-worth that extend beyond the gridiron and into the school, family and community. We cultivate a love for the sport of youth tackle football, with focus on the fundamentals, and exposing young players to a meaningful youth football experience through competitive tackle football .

SAFETY FIRST

Our number one concern is your child's safety. With ever increasing injuries that occur in sports of all ages, we take extra precaution with your precious children. Our coaches teach the children about all of the proper equipment, the correct and only way to tackle and how to prevent injury.

 

The Central Valley Alliance Conference are proud help make the sport of football better and safer.

 

CONCUSSION AWARENESS

 

Education is the first step to help protect players from concussion. Coaches and parents should know what to look for on the field and encourage attention to concussion symptoms. Topics include: What is a concussion? Signs and symptoms of a concussion. What to do when a concussion occurs.

 

EQUIPMENT FITTING

 

It is essential that every player has a properly fitted helmet and shoulder pads. League administrators, coaches and parents should be able to recognize equipment that fits properly and check the fit of equipment throughout the season. Improperly fitted equipment can place an athlete at greater risk for injury.

 

HEAT & HYDRATION

 

CVAC's commitment to player safety targets education for coaches and parents increases the emphasis on prevention, recognition and basic treatment of athletes. Best practices reinforce heat and hydration related safety at all levels. Defining and recognizing the heat illness.

FOOTBALL TEAMS

 

MIGHTY MITE 

(Max weight 115 lbs w/shorts) 

Kindergarten - Second Grade, 5 - 8 years old

*Mighty Mites must turn 5 before December 1, 2020 and reach the age of 9, before December 1, 2020

 

PEE WEE 

(Max weight 155 lbs w/shorts)

Third and Fourth grade, 9 - 10 years old 

*Pee Wees cannot reach the age of 11, before December 1, 2020

             

JUNIOR

(Max weight 190 lbs w/shorts)

Fifth and Sixth grade, 11 - 12 years old        

*Juniors cannot reach the age of 13, before December 1, 2020

MIGHTY MITE 

First and Second Grade, 5-8 years old

*Mighty Mites must turn 5 before December 1, 2020 and reach the age of 9, before December 1

 

PEE WEE 

Third and Fourth grade, 9-10 years old 

*Pee Wees cannot reach the age of 11, before December 1

The mission of CVAC is to provide young athletes with opportunities to compete and win at youth football in an environment free from discrimination and prepare these athletes for lifelong contributions to society; to embrace equality, academic achievement and diversity through competition of sport

 

Our mission is developing a love for the sport of youth football into our players in a manner where sportsmanship and integrity will not suffer at the expense of a "win at all cost or by any means" mentality.
